We Are The Champions!

OK, so far it was us tooting our own horn, but now it's official: consumers love our products! Our Fortifying Shampoo was selected by a group of parent reviewers as an exceptional product for families! The Parent Tested Parent Approved (PTPA) bestowed upon our shampoo its seal or approval following a few weeks of thorough family usage. Whether it's Shahin's unrelenting dedication to using an undiluted formula (36% certified organic!), or whether is the complete absence of synthetic ingredients, whether it's the the recyclable pacakging or that it's sized right and priced right, we'll never know. What's for sure is that this is a WINNER! So, here's a big thank you to the parents who put us to the test, to the retailers who believe in us and support us and to all our partners, friends and fans who share our vision of clean, pure, effective products in harmony with nature.
See you on store shelves!

We're always looking for good ways to engage our customers and fans. We need your feedback and opinions. The social networking world is growing faster than we can follow, but we want to follow, and be followed, so you can now follow us on Twitter.

Calling all "organics" - OTA is looking for a star!!!

This is a great initiative! The Organic Trade Association has launched campaign called "Organic: it's worht it!" It's a search for a spokesperson via YouTube. They don't want any celebrities, just regular organic fans. All you have to do is shoot a video of yourself explaining why you believe in organics and post on YouTube.

SULFATE–FREE PRODUCTS ARE TOP OF MIND FOR TODAY’S CONSUMERS

Sulfate-free soaps and shampoos are quickly becoming the hottest trend in personal care products in North America. Sulfates, such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate, are used in commercial products to increase foaming and provide stability. Based on data reviewed by the Safe Cosmetics Database, sulfates are connected to increased risk of developing cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity and other health concerns.

eaurganic products do not contain any SLS. The new shampoos, body wash and liquid soap are formulated specifically to be sulfate-free without losing effectiveness or “suds” and are all the way through organic certified!

New! New! New!

Oooops, Shahin's done it again. We're launching a new line that we're very excited about! Check it out... it's a set of 6 products (2 shampoos, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, liquid soap) in 500ml bottles priced just right for all pockets. As always, all the products are certified organic, the packaging is recyclable, they're safe for the little ones, and they are as Canadian as the Maple Leaf. Look for them soon in your favourite stores.

Still certified - still guaranteed!

As you've no doubt guessed by now, we're really hung up on our certifications. So needless to say, we're very proud everytime we pass!

Indeed we were inspected just this past Wednesday and we can still proudly say that we are
  • Certified Organic (IOS Cosmetics)
  • ISO-certified (ISO9001-2000)
  • GMP-certified

While it's a big committment and a lot of hard work, we wouldn't give this up for anything. For one thing these certifications keep us on our toes and push us on to keep on the leading edge of our field. For seconds, it's our guarantee to you all of the veracity of our claims.

The work continues as we struggle to exceed our own standards.

NO to 1,4-Dioxane and Ethoxylation

Hi again, sorry for the prolonged absence, things are really heating up in our office and in the lab.
Just to keep in touch with you, 1,4-Dioxane and the process of ethoxylation are once again hitting the news.
Thankfully, public awareness around the ingredients contained in personal care products is increasing and consumers are becoming better informed about the potential toxicity of some ingredients over others.
Just to reiterate, we want to make sure our customers and supporters know that our products do not contain any of the following ingredients:
1,4 dioxane
formaldehyde
PEG 12 dimethicone
PEG 45 M
PEG-80 sorbitan laurate
PEG-150 disterate
PEG-100 stearate
sodium laureth sulphate
polyethylene
ceteareth-20

But don't take our word for it.
Our products are certified organic under IOS Cosmetics by Certech Registration, one of the world’s strictest standards for the certification of cosmetics.
The certification (which involves frequent inspections) guarantees that our products are free of harmful and artificial ingredients and contain a guaranteed minimum of certified organic ingredients.
For more information on the standard just click on the link in the sidebar to go to Certech's website.
As always, we're happy to hear from you, so you can either post a comment right here or you can drop us a line at davicenna@davicenna.com.

Trial times

The testing spa in Charlotte, North Carolina, is busy working with 51 "subjects" who are receiving full facial treatment. The "trial" (oh so scientific!) takes place over the course of a number weeks during which the people who are participating receive treatments in the spa as well as continuing with regular regimens at home. The treatment includes the serums and masks which are part of our new spa line that is still in development phase. We're looking forward to the results.

Testing, testing...

Shahin is at it again! He’s developed some new facial products that are being tested in our testing spa in Charlotte, North Carolina. Spas are becoming more and more interested in our products so Shahin has spent a few nights and week-ends in the lab developing masks and serums. Of course, when products are in the developing stage all of us around the office and the lab become “Guinea pigs” and we are generally the first human “subjects” on whom the products are tested. I just love trying out the new creams, serums, masks, toners! Once we give the first green light, then it’s off to the lab for microbiological and dermatological analysis and the to the testing spa to try it out on actual people. So, watch out when the cook is in the kitchen (or the chemist in the lab)!

Off we go to Montreal, again!

We just can’t get enough of Quebec! This week-end is the Montreal edition of CHFA and we’re very busy preparing for it and looking forward to seeing again some of our biggest fans. Quebec stores have been early and eager supporters of our products and every time we go back (so far 3 times in 4 months!) it feels like going to our second home. Check back later for some pictures!

A new year to stay the course

WOW! It’s almost one year since we launched eaurganic and it feels like a lifetime has gone by. There have been so many big and small achievements since April last year and my wife and I were in such a celebratory mood, we decided to throw a big party to welcome the new year with friends and fans. We had more than 50 guests. Some of them I had not seen since last year. As we raised the glass to the successes that we’re having, I was reminded yet again of why I do what I do and why I will not compromise on the purity and quality of eaurganic. Three friends whom I had not seen in a long time and who were among the first to try this new line as I was developing it, came to me telling me how eaurganic is having a positive impact on their lives by helping control their rosacea, oily skin and even extreme sensitivity to skin care products. This type of feedback, above all else, is what keeps me focused on keeping harmful artificial ingredients out of my products and live up to the very tough standard eaurganic is certified under. So I start a new year with renewed energy and conviction and I toast to the bright future of eaurganic.
